Total slaughter of the story. The characters' backstories changed. Mat is a thief with an unfaithful father, not even close to the truth. Rand is short, though he's from a people who are taller than any other. Perrin's married and his wife's a blacksmith. Nynaeve knows that she can channel and live in celibacy, which Egwene is also into. Lan bathes naked with Moiraine. There are rumors of four Ta'veren in the Two Rivers and one of them is the chosen one who may have been reborn as a girl. The acting is rigid, robotic and the actors try to have a model/poker face. Already after 10min it is understood that many parts that have been fantastically written in the story do not make it into the series that will be a slimmed-down version. Not close to a new GoT series or LoR movie. Sad that the serie doesn't come close to original story written by a genius RJ who wrote the world's longest and well-crafted fantasy

0:50 "One of the five of you"? It's "one of the three of you " and that's because of their age not sex. So unless they plan on changing the characters age, which would not mean anything since anyone who's read the book already knows who that person is going to be and this would affect the dynamics between the character's. So is there any need for them to do that? No. I won't say what trend they are trying to ride but since all American shows have been doing that since the last US presidential election, I'm not saying it's wrong or anything. Come on guys, there wasn't any need to change anything since the books are already based on that. I would still want to see how they play it out at the end.

Not to sound mushy, but my Dad loved the Wheel of Time and read each book probably 10 times. My Dad introduced the Wheel of Time to me then I introduced it to my wife and we love the story. My Dad died in 2019 and he always hoped they would make a show true to the books, he knew it would be way bigger and better than Game of Thrones. I hope this show is not ruined by forcing politics or woke garbage and they stay true to the story, they way Robert Jordan and my Dad would have wanted it.

I am absolutely jacked up for this. The books are killer, the show is looking as though it will be the same. I can barely wait any longer.
