I bought two trash cans which holds 50 gallons water each. Trash can is much cheaper comparing with water barrel. Each one is < $30. Living in California which experienced draught in 3 consecutive years, I feel proud for conserving water by collecting rain water from my home's gutter.

My grandmother had a rain barrel setup kinda like that...she would use the rainwater for washing her hair....ahhh so you can wash your beard with it..makes it really soft! Sippy may like that!

seal the top hole so no misquotes get in. if the tap fails on the pipe use a 1/2 inch clamp pvc or conduit pipe clamp.

Verra nice! I'd like to install a.system. if we ever do, I'm lucky that I can get those big white cube containers with the wire grid surround from work. We get them with soap so it wouldn't be any super bad chemical to get cleaned out of it. Hope you all are doing well and that Sippy is feeling good 😁
