It's sad that ATT did not take action with their contractor until the local TV media got involved. Of course, it's not just ATT that hides behind their contractors. We have had similar contractor caused problems with electrical service. It was a run around with that too.

Glad this Lady got reimbursed. It's pathetic they gave her the run around like that. Maybe she can contact the Texas AGs office and report them to be investigated for something like Deceptive Trade Practices. Glad KPRC helped her get her money.

Wish your station was in our area. My local stations won't help and our company started a fire in our house due to negligent repairs

sometimes theres a grey area; sometimes the issue was already there but doesnt materialize (trigger) until some thing like a power surge or something. It could be on the resident's end; but it wasnt triggered until the contractor "finished" the job. There are always nuances in technical things; its not an on/off switch most of the time. People should understand this (in this era of promoting STEM education).

If you call AT&T and “they” hire contractors to do the job, that’s their problem, why would the customer deal directly with the contractor when it’s AT&T hiring them? I’m glad she took it to the media, if she hadn’t, she would still be dealing with them. I would’ve cancelled the services immediately, as by the way, AT&T is not good, I had them for several years and they’re terrible!
