Anyone remember last election where they claimed that giving people in line to vote a bottle of water counted as influencing.

It's okay. The justice department asked him to stop and they've made it very clear that if he keeps doing it they will firmly but politely ask him to stop a second time

wow, a $10, 000 fine. what a steep price to pay for giving away $1mil. how could they ever afford the criminal fines?

That $10k and $15k limit should just be per instance. So every single person that got anything for registering to vote should count as a separate count against him.

Buying votes is totally ok, but giving water to voters in line waiting 7 hours to vote is bad. Yup. Remember that?

Nothing screams FREEDOM OF SPEECH quite like offering someone a million dollars to express exactly what you want them to.

Remember when he tweeted that twitter should be politically agnostic and should make fun of the left and right equally

18:30 as a food enthusiast, there is NOTHING wrong with freezing ingredients. It's done to keep them fresh. What *can* happen is freezure burn or damage with food is frozen at too low temperatures or for too long. But in general, ingredients being frozen does not effect its quality.
However, you will need to let your ingredients defrost completely and pat it dry before use, otherwise this may effect the end product.

When I was holding voter registration drives in 2020, I was warned that if I gave out candy, I couldn't withhold that candy from anybody. It can't be an incentive to register to vote. It was illegal, and I could be fined (or for partisan drives, the campaign could be fined).

Yet offering up to $1, 000, 000 at random seems fine, for some reason...

Another classic case of, "There's a fine. Therefore, legal for a price."

They seriously need to get rid of PACs. Only individual people should be allowed to donate to a politician and with a hard limit. All meeting with lobbyists should also be monitored. Just because a person or organization has more money doesn't mean they should have more right to our politicians. One vote one person should go beyond the ballot box. They have that office to represent us all not the privileged few.

I think he's cleverly NOT saying he's giving money to people to vote Republican, only to sign a petition. ANYONE could sign the petition and then vote Democrat. Sounds like a loophole...

Remember republicans were upset when Swift said for people to register to vote. They were trying to say it was illegal.

Wait you mean Billionaires are subject to the same laws as me??! nah that can’t be right

America shows you that rich people can break laws and nothing happens to them, yet let a person give water to a voter and they'll get arrested.

Why would he permanently increase working conditions, or provide raises, when he can pay a handful of people each 1 mil

"if convicted" is doing a lot of heavy lifting with the way the American justice system is nowadays.

If this isn't dealt with in extremely harsh, punishing fines AND prison time, then this will spiral out of control in all later elections.

Even when you take out all context here, i'm fairly confident paying people to sign a petition isn't how a petition is supposed to work.

This is what billionaires do with their money if you don't tax it.
