Billionaire Elon Musk made a wry joke about “getting shot” for his plan to give away million-dollar checks to swing state voters in support of former President Donald Trump’s election campaign Sunday – just after handing out his second prize so far in Pennsylvania.
“I hope I live tonight,” Musk joked at the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks, just outside of Pittsburgh. “Based on some of the things I’m getting, I might not. It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye or an ear.”
“Hopefully I don’t get shot,” Musk added.
He said he was “definitely upgrading my security” and acetiously said he is going to roll out an “inflatable” body double.
Musk, who is the richest person on Earth, with a net worth of more than $240 billion, has pledged to hand out $1 million to a random swing state voter who has signed a petition for his SuperPac every day until the presidential election on Nov. 5 — meaning there are 16 lucky Americans who will cash in big.
