The Arya and Sandor interactions are some of my favorite Game of Thrones moments, but my new favorite Arya and Sandor moment is when she called him by his name and thanked him.

Not the father she wanted, but the father she needed to survive in that world.

When Sansa told him she'd fed Ramsey to his own hounds they both laughed. Both Stark girls were alive because of him. Sansa squeezed his hand in quiet gratitude and at the end Arya called him by his name and said so much in those two words, "thank you" in my opinion the show ended there, all the rest was anti climax

The only story and character development they didn’t fuck up, loved this scene.

The most poignant and touching moment of the whole series was when Arya called out to the Hound using his real name. One word - " Sandor ." So much was said with that one word.

Arya may have put hound in her list.. But she put sandor in her heart ❤️
One of the best bonding in the show ❤️

"The Hound" was on her
"Sandor" was not.

He fought to save Arya, he fought to save the world, he fought to save himself but most importantly he fought to eat every chicken in the building. RIP Clegane :*(

I cried when Sandor died. He protected her even when it didn’t benefit him. Arya was the only person he did that for.

They had the best relationship in GOT. They were such a good duo and they cared about each other so much. I'm gonna miss this father/daughter pair because that is what I think Sandor became to her. I honestly think he knew her better than anyone else at this point, he was there when she changed into what she is today, he fully understands it and he fully accepted it. He wasn't afraid of her or in awe of her, he didn't want anything from her, he just cared enough about her to give her some good advice.

He died in flames with his brother. Two of his biggest fears were conquered at once.

I love that line by Tormund: “I don’t think you’re really mean, you’ve got sad eyes”

BOTH the Stark girls owe their lives to Sandor Clegane. (And you could see they both knew this and deeply cared for him as a result).

This is one of the best tributes I’ve seen. The bond between Arya and Sandor definitely was the best parts of the series. I’m going to really miss Sandor Clegane the Hound.

He was the perfect example of an antihero. The one who has none of the traditional characteristics of a hero, flawed, miserable, doesn't even want to do what he does - but rises to something far greater than himself and is a hero in the end.

The emotion I felt when she called him Sandor is hard to describe. The relationship between these two was so well done, so unique and really hard to put into words.

Sandor saved Arya's life more times than she'll ever know.
