Margaery convinces Olenna to return to Highgarden after the High Sparrow says that he will pursue Olenna following her attempt to engage the Faith. Jon, Sansa, and Davos recruit the Wildlings and House Mormont to their cause, but remain outnumbered by the Boltons. In desperation, Sansa writes a letter begging for aid. Jaime arrives in Riverrun with Bronn, assuming control of the siege. The former goes to parley with Brynden, ultimately being unsuccessful. Theon and Yara spend their last night in Volantis, deciding to sail to Meereen to ally with Daenerys. In Braavos, Arya prepares to return to Westeros, but is attacked by the Waif. Arya is badly wounded but escapes. Sandor is revealed to be alive, having been saved by a Septon and his followers. When men from the Brotherhood threaten and eventually slaughter the group, Sandor decides to get revenge.

Ian McShane made the most of his cameo in this show, he nailed every scene he was in.

I think sandor actually listened to that guy because sandor sees him on an equal level. The guy was a soldier, done evil acts, been in the same exact shoes as him. He can relate to sandor and proves to him that he can change for the better and find peace.

Faith without fanaticism; devotion with humility; piety with compassion. In many respects, Ray was the opposite of the High Sparrow.

"If the gods are real, why haven't they punished me?"
I dunno, getting beaten by a woman, thrown off a cliff, and left to die with a broken femur is pretty harsh punishment.

Also, putting Rory McCann and Ian McShane alone together in a scene to just Dialogue At Each Other was a tremendously excellent call. Rory's lowkey one of the top three actors in the whole show and pairing him with one of the most underrated actors alive to argue about theology and humanity and capital-P Purpose and have Sandor slowly start to listen to and understand what Ray was telling him was just fucking wonderful.

He doesn't feel ashamed to admit that he got defeated by a woman in a fight. Respect Sandor.

That delivery of the words: “they have” is so well done, and delivered to perfection.

The closest friend Sandor ever had. Of course GoT axed him but that was when GoT was still good and you didn't know who would live or not. Still wish I could have seen more of BroRay

“I was gonna give you a proper burial and Then you coughed. Ha nearly shit myself” 😂😂😂 Great dialogue and execution by 2 great actors. The hound was just REAL. No lies in him!

The guy talking to The Hound was Winston's ancestor. He was building a Continental in Westeros.

The rugged Irish scenery is staggeringly beautiful. It gives such a great backdrop for the performances.

A character that had hardly any screen time. But his death was still a very hard one to swallow. He was a bad man and now he is someone that does his best to make things right. Can see he truly cares for people and even after all what he said he done in the past. He didn't deserve what he got. To see all the people he tried to save murdered then hung himself for trying to make the world a better place.

The Hound. A character you could not help but like, but also feel his pain, but totally understand why he is who he is, and who does have a kind soul buried deep beneath his tough tortured exterior.

I love Ian McShane. Such a great actor. I discovered him in Deadwood in which he plays one of the greatest roles ever.

A beautiful scene. If only we could all learn.

I could watch an entire 8 seasons just with Sandor Clegane.

I don't know why but my favourite part is when Ray starts yammering about all the different gods and says "... Or maybe they're all the same fucking thing I don't know."
Ian McShane was and always will be one of my absolute favourite actors tho.

The nicest character McShane ever played!

Amazing scene. I've always been able to relate to The Hound. Many of his struggles are some of our own. Villains are not always bad. Sandor I think fell in between and at the end he sought redemption. He even felt love (in a way like a father would) towards Arya.
