My father, Jasper Bouse caught a 51 pound striper in Bull Shoals in Forsythe in 1989.  At the time it was the state record which he held for almost a decade.  That same week I landed a 41 pounder in the same area (called the Pot Hole by locals). My dad is 91 years old (living in Mount Vernon Veteran's Home now) and fishing days are past him, but we still fondly remember that time.  His record is mounted and now hanging in my brother-in-law's home in Camdenton.

He killed it. Why doesn't it make sense to let it go

only a landlocked state like Missouri would be able to do all these state record stories. I live in South Florida, I've been out on head boats that have had more species come up in a four hour period Then videos they've made of State records for Missouri

Congrats on the record be glad it was born in a lake instead of a river or you would of ran out of line the muscle and tail power of the river verses lakes are unreal it's like hooking a car on the highway
