My 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has some issues.... Lets fix them!
I hope you guys are having a great weekend. Owning a Jeep Wrangler is more than offroading, modifying, and having fun. There are times where its going to have some issues, and its important to be able to fix those problems.
In this video, we fix my clogged catalytic converters and the failed 4x4 shift linkage.
Parts used in this video:

Now that the Jeep is up and running, its time for some major upgrades.
If you watch till the end, then you probably saw the sneak peak! Super excited about that upgrade.
Ive been doing alot of upgrades to the Jeep in order to get ready for bigger tires. And its funny because ive actually had them for a few weeks now, waiting to fix the jeep before install.
With the JK dana 44 axles and 5.13 gears, these tires will be a good fit. But we will see about that in the next video!!!

Thanks a million for this. My 06 Rubicon is doing the same thing but was throwing codes for a cylinder one misfire. After replacing what feels like everything it was still not running correctly. After weeks of trying to track down the issue and watching what seems like a hundred videos, yours was the first to show you actually driving the Jeep and exactly what it was doing. Also love seeing a fellow Jeep chick who works on her own ride! Thank you much!

What timing! I just got an '01 TJ from another state that doesn't require emissions testing. He cut off all the cats, which I now have to replace. I'll definitely be referring back to this video!!

Oh to own a TJ/LJ, We are averaging some type of breakdown every 3 weeks on our ‘98. But I’m never getting rid of her! I’m just glad my wife has the mechanical knowledge to keep her running!

After Super Charging my TJ both pre Cats burned out and clogged the main. I pulled everything apart until lastly checking the exhaust. 28lbs of back pressure at idle. Definitely wiser now, but seems like it's more common especially with Turbo/Super charged 4.0L. Keep spreading the Good Word with the Videos. Wish you made the 3 years ago! Cheers!

I finally get it! People who buy Jeeps are those who like to fix broken things. So many jeep fix it vids on YouTube has to mean something.

Looks like those old cats used all nine of their lives. 'Meow', it's good that you replaced the exhaust.

You might want to check with a local shop but i'm almost certain you cant leave the exhaust dumping in front of the rear axle, it needs to be past the rear axle this is to keep exhaust fumes from coming back up inside the vehicle and casing you to pass out while driving. I could be wrong but worth a call happy jeeping:)

Great video! No apologies necessary for the theme; I have an '06 LJ and love to learn ALL of the mods/repairs/upgrades that you all are doing. Keep up the good work!

The auto TJs especially the 04-06 are pretty notorious for issues. Those who have the 42RLE know the struggle is real.
