Something that I absolutely love about this scene is that K in that moment gives Jay a wonderful memory and legacy to hold onto: Saying his father was a hero. That’s what did it for me.

This was for sure a solid ending to this franchise. It came out of nowhere and made me tear up. Cudos to the writers.

I don't care what anyone says, Men in Black is one of the only trilogies in existence that managed to deliver a solid story with each film. Usually, the third movie in any trilogy is considered the weakest; that doesn't apply here. It's comedic, it's heart-warming and it knew exactly what it wanted to be.

For all of you wannabe writers, THIS is how you end a trilogy. Don't beg for more films by constantly ending on cliffhangers, end your story with 90-100% of the plot tied up, because if people still want more after that, then you know you've written a solid story.
