Never thought a stride could be described as hypnotic, but that's exactly what Gidey's stride is. She has beautiful running form, the epitome of distance running technique.

I want to thank you for putting Ryan Crouser’s shot put record as #3. Shot put is one of the most underrated events in Track and Field, and it definitely needs more recognition

For Warholm’s race, can’t forget how he pulled the entire field along to run insanely fast. A couple of years ago, you’d think 47 low/mid is more than enough to medal and would probably even win. Here, just about the whole field did that or ran faster

I can see most of the WR holders in this list improving further, but for Warholm, I mean, it was the perfect race, you can't ask more than a sub 46. It's just mindblowing to see anyone running faster than that in at LEAST 10 years. That's how incredible the record was.

Seeing Gidey’s HM as number 2 is absolutely no shock. A legendary record that could definitely stand the test of time. Gidey stated prior to her HM that she believed she could run a 1:02:30. Words I had a hard time believing considering it would be her debut. When I was watching the race live, I was jaw dropped after her first 5k. My disbelief continued to grow larger and larger by 10k, 15k, and finally her finish. I firmly believed Gidey’s fastest possible time would be 1:03:30 especially against Yehualaw, an experienced HM runner. While Gidey did not run a 1:02:30, I was still star struck by a 1:02:52. Big words from a debut HM runner, but who knows what Letesenbet Gidey will accomplish as she becomes an expert at that distance.

Being able to see some of these records when they were set was awesome. This year has got to be one of the best years for track and field, so many records and some of them just insane.

Was scrolling through my camera roll earlier and saw a picture taken at 4am that was saved where my jaw was wide open hitting the floor. I didn’t even hesitate to say what it was and I know I will never forget that night where Warholm, Rai and Dos Santos shook up running history. Can’t wait to see what comes next for all 3

Gidey broke Miruts Yifter's 1977 world record time in the half marathon. I don't care about how training, shoes, sponsorship, Etc have changed things. She literally broke a men's World Record that was set within my lifetime. That's astonishing. And even now, it's a literally world-class or at least top National class time among men.

So glad you mention the ultra running WRs needs to more attention. Never thought Yiannis Kourros records would ever be broken. You need to do a video and analysis of those records.
