3:21 You might get a more accurate measurement using the part of the calipers that's closer to the tips.

Yet another great video by the man, Vega. Helping take the guess work out of which wire is the bomb and the homework is done. Great job buddy.

Either looks like it will get the job done. Flexibility and tinned are the two things I look for the most.

My go to is going to have to be Skyhigh it's never let me down. I order it direct from them always gets here in 2 days but you better use their lugs and ferruls.

Thanks for the update. I watch all of your videos. I’ve always thought and maybe I commented before that the taped together sample reminds me of sushi. Have a great day.

You know, I was just looking up different metals and resistances, and Tin is only as electrically conductive as brass and nickel, its actually way less than aluminium, and its like 4 times the resistance of copper. So I wonder, is tin plated wire actually inferior to bare OCF wire, would it be far higher resistance per km or mile? I heard or read somewhere that the tarnish on copper doesn't affect the resistance or current transfer, and that that oxide layer in fact is beneficial. I think that's total BS personally, and I've always bought tinned wire for its longevity. Ever had wire that's turned green and powdery the whole way down the entire length of wire? After seeing this morning that the resistance of copper is like 60 aluminium was around 40 and tin nickel zinc and brass were around 15, it makes me wonder.... Is tinned wire in fact a poor choice like CCAW wire? (It's not as bad because its only a plating, but you get what I mean, is it measurably inferior)
I also thought brass was miles better than aluminium and that's why I just spent hundreds on all these brass fuse holders and distro blocks, I thought aluminium was far inferior, boy did I f&#* up! 😆🤣😭 The only thing about aluminium I really hate is that it is very soft and threads are very easily destroyed.

I get a lot of my 0 gauge from my local Pull and Save junkyard. A lot of the newer cars that has the battery in the rear will have a pure copper 0 gauge wire running from the trunk area all the way to the hood area. Been doing this for years and never had an issue. Plus rather than 2 to $4 a foot you're averaging out roughly 25 to 50 Cent foot 🍻😁🔊🌪🌪

The wire king !! Is back !! Thank you Hifi for your research and contribution !! Also you kinda a battery expert can you do some videos on battery's . The difference between types batteries and what all the numbers mean discharge rates . And how pick a good good car audio battery . .

I'm a big fan of Knuconceptz but these did really well. Went full Knuconceptz for my daily driver but may have to go HiFi Vega for my other car, brainstorming like crazy on that one.

Dude, you totally got the DC wire lol. All I've ever bought was the 4 and 8 gauge. I've never noticed the difference in jacket like this tho? But I love its beautiful wire and love what it says lol. But I only use it for speaker wire to be honest.

Hello Robert,
2 questions
1. When selecting a power wire what all insulation materials we can look at and which is most ideal and flexible insulation.
2. Any suggestions for speaker wires with good shielding against noise.

Thank you

I don't understand the point of paying extra for tinned copper in amp (car audio) wire. The purpose of tinning is to resist corrosion in areas exposed to the elements, yet the insulation on car audio wiring does not resist elements as well as actual battery cable. If you are that worried about corrosion, wouldn't it make sense to just buy actual battery cable with tinned copper so both the conductor and insulator will last?

I couldn't see the cheat sheet. Thank you for letting us know what wires are best.

I feel like I won the jackpot because I managed to get 2 50ft rolls of 1/0 OFC Sky High Audio cable for $126(that's what I paid for both, would have still been a decent deal even if I got each piece at that price.)

But if I didn't get this sweet deal, I came across a brand called Atrih Technologies, they have 50ft rolls of OFC for $119(plus shipping) and the wire looks fairly legit and worth checking out.

Im glad I found this video, I initially was pretty high on Knuconcepts but they did me Dirty, I ordered 1 Foot of 1/0 block wire and 12 feet of red, They sent me 11 of red and 2 foot of black. They woudn't do me right, went through the whole trouble of reproducing order and weighing it and woudn't pay for me to ship their order back. I didn't order by weight So I will definitely use this list. Thank you!
