The Best VALUE Samsung smartphone | Samsung Galaxy A55 5G

The Galaxy A55 is one of two new mid-range phones from Samsung and it’s packed with features.

There’s microSD storage expansion, IP67 water resistance and a large 5,000mAh battery that lasted for over 24 hours in our in-house testing.

It has a 6.6in, 120Hz Super AMOLED display with a 1,000 nit peak brightness. And, the new Exynos 1480 chip also impressed, outperforming other phones in its price bracket.

There are three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main lens, plus a 12-megapixel ultrawide and 5-megapixel macro.

And it comes in four colours: we’re reviewing the Lemon model here, but it also comes in Navy, Ice Blue and Lilac.

Importantly, the Galaxy A55 retails for £10 less than its predecessor: £439 for the 128GB model or £489 for the 256GB model.

On paper, it looks pretty good for the money - but what do you think?

the thing that's crazy to me is that even the cheaper phones that samsung sell still feature 120hz refresh rate displays and apple is still yet to do that with their base model flagships that are WAY more expensive

It's actually a good phone ngl. Camera, display, battery performance everything is good but keep in mind it's not a gaming phone but you can play games on it.

Just got my A55 yesterday, which is on Sept 1, and im loving it so far! My friend said that it is almost the same as an IOS, which i definitely somewhat agree with! May not be as great in some features, but features are so good. Overall, it is a worthy phone for me!

I have the (iPhone XS Max Rose Gold 256 GB Edition) but I’m thinking that I will switch to the Samsung Galaxy’s A55 once my iPhone stops working.


The A55 looks like a premium device I love how there’s split screen on the phone.

And it’s also cheap but still expensive at the same time

Samsung always makes most of their phones cheap so that people don’t have to waste so much money on expensive phones

What I don't understand is that the s24 reg only has a 4000 ma battery yet all the recent A phones are coming with a 5000.
