I studied math at UBC in the late '80s and early '90s. We used the revised edition of this book for the first two semesters of Calculus. For the second two semesters of calculus we used the follow-up text "Calculus in Several Variables" by the same author. The trick was to not take these courses with Dr. Adams because his examples in class were identical to the ones in the textbooks. Thanks for this video. It brings back many cool memories from that time.

Robert A. Adams! His book about Sobolev spaces is very famous, it is one of the great references on the subject.

Hello sir
Thanks for your great videos.
Could you please tell us what we need to learn if we want to understand Tesla numbers?
I'm curious about 3, 6, and 9. But I have no idea what to do
I will really appreciate it 💙

Hey math sorcerer,
Do you have any books that you can recommend to practice spatial thinking? Like a book with problems that requires you to use spatial reasoning to solve them? I feel like this is something I really want to practice. Also, do you have any books to recommend that teach mathematics in a visual, spatial way? Like e.g. a book that teaches differential geometry with visual "proofs". Often times when I solve math problems i do not feel like I actually understand what I am doing, but I am just mindlessly manipulating expressions. I think having things visualized can sometimes give you a more intrinsic understanding of mathematical concepts. E.g. I have seen mathemaniacs videos on complex analysis in which he animated the different concepts and I felt like have developed a much better understanding of complex analysis, even though I have passed my complex analysis exam before that. I'd be very grateful for recommendations.
