I did real analysis with the "baby Rudin", and I found it to be an absolute work of art. I spent about 45 minutes per page trying to understand the motivation for the elegant and extremely compact proofs (and how I might write my own). It's the book that led to me describing math as an art "painting pictures with logic". So many memories of hours on the train exploring pure mathematics! z

How do you choose which/how many problems to do as a self-learner? You said to do all the problems your teacher sets, but as a self learner should I just do all the problems? You clearly select... but on what basis?

Hello, I wanna suggest a great book I used in my advanced calc class. It is "An Introduction to Analysis" by William R. Wade. The most super thing about this book is that you can find all the solutions for the exercies in a full explanation:O .They are not in the book but, You can download the official solution manual from libgen. It was my first rigorous math course. Later when I realized you cant find solutions in books, I was disappointed. If you think, this is ridiclus. Whats the point in giving exercises, If you are not going to give the answers as well. So this book by wade is my favorite. It explains everything rigirously in a beginner friendly way.
