I held out on Spydercos for the longest time. Then, the Para 3 came into my life. Now, I own more than any manufacturer. There are so many options 🤗🍻✌️

When I first saw a Spiderco I thought they were really ugly. Then I purchased a Spyderco para3 exclusive because I liked the colors. After this, you might say it was a love affair with Spyderco. Recently, I visited Spyderco out in Golden Colorado. What an amazing trip. The staff out there are warm and genuine and believe in the product. I hope to go back there soon. Now I have six Spyderco knives, hoping to add the PM2 to my collection. Purchased a dragonfly pink for my wife recently and I wasn’t sure if she would use it. The other day, getting the keys out of her purse and saw that that knife is in the pocket of her purse and she uses it. They are functional and great working knives for different Occasions and activities. All of mine, but the exception of one, are in my pocket and being used. You can’t go wrong with a Spyderco.

I think both are very good options. My first and only Spyderco so far is a Manix 2 Lightweight with SPY-27 steel. I love it. 🔥🔪

I love both the PM2 and Para 3 and own several versions of each but the Para 3 finds its way into my pocket more than the PM2. If you can get one of each in hand, figure out which feels best and get that one is my go to advice. The best part is, you can’t really go wrong with either one.

I keep a PM2 Magnacut in my plate carrier as a duty knife. I carry a Para 3 (the new SPY27) in my pocket on and off duty. They are similar enough that the smaller size Para 3 just works better in the pocket than the PM2. I have a couple of full sized Military 2s as well. One in S30 and the other in CruWear. Those are my favs of the bunch and I carry them hiking or camping, or if I feel I’ll need the extra blade length. I’ve carried a Military series knife since 2001. I don’t think you can beat them regardless of the size you pick. The bushing pivot setup gives them the best action. It’s like they are on bearings. They are simple to maintain, easy to sharpen, have enough variations out there to suit anyone’s wishes, are pretty much bomb proof (except those tips), and have that signature look that is all business. The design aesthetic is all bauhaus. What’s not to love?

I had five Para Military 2s at one point. Sold all but one. Kept the standard black G10 with satin S45VN. I also bought a standard Military 2. My favorite folding knife ever.

Great edc, love em both. Pm2 rides with me a lot. The dlc on my blade looks like patina, it’s so worn you can see through it, the pm2 is my workhorse of choice.

I have a question after I watched the video, I hope you can answer me GBall_Vision!
Why all the Spyderco knives are so smooth when they are not on bearings just the
contrary on bronze washers?Maybe only my Ontario Rat1 openssa smoothly on bronze washers
and drop shutdown like knife on bearings.

Got the PM2 first, then added the Para 3. They are both excellent folders.

Pm2 brown with s35vn was my first Spyderco. Bought a second one of the same version. Now🙈 I’m around 120 deep in Spyderco knives. Like almost all models, excluding China models. Don’t have any. Can’t go wrong with a para3 or pm2. Or Shaman, sage 5, yojimbo2 or yojumbo. Natives, g10, c/f or lw’s. Lots of great steels too choose from.👍🏻🇺🇸

I have the Spyderco Para 2 Cruwear micarta and I like it very much, The Para 3 blade is too short for me the Para 2 is just right for many cutting chores and food prep. The Para 2 is an excellent choice for daily carry and can even be used in self-defense if needed.

I would say you can't go wrong with either! Both are fantastic an beat buying an overpriced BM any day of the week! I own 11, an have zero complaint! The Amalgam being my fav! An number one carry!

I went through this exact dilemma for over an hour in a local knife shop today! The ONLY reason I went with the para 2 is because of how well it married to my hand and today I wanted a more "full size" folder with a full handed grip (without the front choil). However I will be most definitely acquiring a para 3 asap because of how difficult of a decision it was.
