Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Folding Knife 3-7/16" CPM-S45VN Black Blade, Black G10 Handles - C81GPBK2

The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 tactical folding knife has several changes over the classic version. The G-10 handle is narrowed at the end improving the ergonomics. The handle and blade have been profiled thinner; removing uncomfortable angles when in the closed position. It features a Compression Lock and an ambidextrous-friendly four way clip which carries tip-up/tip-down, left/right-hand and rests deeper in a pocket. They kept the same high-performance CPM-S45VN full flat-ground blade but they've also lengthened the blade's tip and added additional surface jimping to both the spine and finger choil. Implementation of a new Bushing Pivot System generates fluid action and more consistent manufacturing tolerances. Larger lanyard gives more options for carry.

Refinements to overall construction may not be drastic or even visible to the eye but from the G-10 textured handle to the CPM-S45VN steel full flat black blade, everything is sharper, smoother and guaranteed to provide performance and user comfort.

My PM2 with S45VN Satin Blade and Copper Flytanium scales is the knife I carry the most.

Excellent video! Like you, Spydercos weren't my first knife choice and hated the looks. But when I handled a PM 2 and Manix it felt good in the hands. Now I have at least 19 different Spyderco knives with about 8 Paramilitary 2 which will be passed down to the kids one day. Love Spyderco knives. Thanks for sharing brother, I subbed to your channel! 👍

I said the same thing. I thought they were ugly. After use.. I appreciate the whole design of the pm2 and now I am on my 4th pm2. I have the black on black s30v the green g10 with 20cv the black g10 and satin s45vn and now the cruwear and micarda pm2. Also have the digital camo military and black blade in s30v. They really grow on you. My wife thought they were ugly too.. but now she has a vg10 dragonfly and a Para 3 with teal frn and an s90v blade. So we started out thinking they were ugly. Now we have an addiction.

Yes you right some like them and some hate them, the biggest issue with Spyderco though is that they grow feet and walk away - my "native 5" lasted 1 year and walked away ( I know that it will never ever return) and like you say they cost too much to replace. So now I do without, I miss it terribly, it just worked for me funny hole and all.

I just purchased this exact same knife. I get it in the mail tomorrow. I bought a pair of flytanium G10 purple handle scales for it too

I'm going to buy a PM2 this week. I've been undecided on this exact model in S45VN with DLC coating and the Cruwear one with micarta scales. I think I'm going to go for this one!

Love this knife, blows every other knife I have out of the water for edc and cutting tasks. Comfortable, fidgety, and rock solid. I call it my scalpel cause it's always razor sharp. Prefer the shaman for harder use though, prying, scraping etc

alright you’ve convinced me, the next knife i buy will be a paramilitary 2

My PM2 is one of my favorites too. I've got the lefty version. The Manix 2 is still on my list of knives to buy, but I don't have one yet. Cheers, buddy.

Great review style, you are very practical and I can tell you actually use your knives as intended. I wondered if you’ve tried out a Spyderco Shaman?

This isn't a knife, ...

This is a piece of art.
As such you are allowed to carry it in The Netherlands, ... I'll presume.

I feel the same about Spyderco's blade-to-handle ratios. The Caribbeans are OK as are a few others but most of the "good" ones have weird ratios. I am sort of liking the chinese made Resilience in S3VN though. I do have quite a few Spidies but, aside from one Caribbean most of mine are small o small-ish. I did just order a PM 2 in S45VN prompted the search that led me here.
