That cave story is one of the worst things i could ever imagine.

The last one literally makes me cringe inside. That is one of my worst fears being stuck like that

I get extremely uncomfortable in like a really emotional way when I hear someone is stuck where they passed away “to this day”. It’s so chilling and saddening.

That nutty putty cave story is a total nightmare. Even the picture has me wondering WHO THE F would willingly go in such a tight space, gives me chills.

My uncle was in Thailand for that tsunami, luckily in a hotel up big hill. They slept through the tsunami, then puzzled at the strangely high tide. He was also in Japan during that big earthquake, and no-one will go on holiday with him any more.

The fact that he said "I really want to get out of here" and they sealed him inside forever is terrifying

Lessons from Mr. Ballen: 1. Don't go scuba diving. 2. Don't go into a forest. 3. Don't go into caves. 4. Don't go on vacation. 5. Don't go anywhere you're not supposed to go.

If u cant walk in it, at least bent over, then it's not a cave it's a hole. Don't crawl in there!

As soon as he said "extremely low tide" my stomach dropped. Living in Japan, I was always scared I would see that one day, and not have enough time to make it to safety

I can't even imagine what John's family felt when they ultimately had to go home from their trip but leave John stuck there dead in the cave. Those people's therapists would need a therapist after hearing about that it must have been a gut wrenching feeling.

The story about John Jones and Nutty Puddy cave always makes me so anxious and sad. This is the first time I’ve heard in detail about how they actually tried to get him out. Something I’ve realized listening to Mr Ballen’s stories about people getting stuck: if you have to take a deep breath to try to get through something, you’re already f*cked.

The cave story gave me serious anxiety. Im claustrophobic, just hearing that made my heart race.

John basically buried himself alive in what would become his tomb. That’s heavy shit.

Can we just appreciate the fact that he never clickbaits us

The picture of the tiger standing over the guy is a perfect representation of our basic powerlessness when it comes to nature. Ultimately, it’s always in control one way or another.

I’d rather get attacked by tigers during a tsunami than get stuck in a cave

The cave one really broke me. I can’t imagine someone being in that situation and the pain, and fear they must have been feeling. I could barely take a normal breathe while listening

“Hey family let’s go cave diving!” Ugh, just go fishing man.

I’ve heard this story before and it never fails to horrify me. As a Medical student, Josh would have known his fate. Without access to his airways, they couldn’t have intubated him to knock him out whilst they broke his legs & whatever else they had to to get him out. For me, this is one of the worst ways to die but I am claustrophobic. I found that out whilst caving/spelunking as a teenager 😱

I couldn't imagine the horror of being stuck like that. You would never catch me exploring a cave. Nope! Not gonna happen!!
