An attraction proxy is anything a person uses to secure love, sex, or commitment by indirect means. A common example of this is a man who believes that women will be more attracted to him if he were rich. In this case, the man is using money as an attraction proxy. While access to resources increases attractiveness in general, it is neither necessary nor sufficient to do so. The only reliable way of increasing attraction is mastering the game of attraction and the art of seduction.

Our Judeo Christian society is built on the man being the provider. Having money, powerful, super successful, protector, defender. A man being himself and nice is not gonna cut it. If he lacks a good portion of the qualities I just mentioned. As women we talk and what I just mentioned comes up alot. I often hear women say I married well. For me I've been most successful with men. By showing I'm fit, educated, successful, but still some what submissive. I noticed alot of men really like to feel like their in control. The direct approach is to be attractive. There is a point of diminishing returns when, by and large, despite self improvement, women find you attractive.

Ive did the self improvement and all of that jazz, it only increased the amount of unattractive women that are interested in me.

We all, in some measure, use attraction proxies, more or less consciusly. Knowing that, we can say that you partially decide who you want to attract, so it's not surprising that by using money as bait you'll mostly attract gold diggers. Eventually you realise (or at least you should) that the best "bait" is to be the best version of yourself in every possible way, that way you will attract the best that you're naturally capable of. Whether the results please you it's a topic for another day.

Then if if I focus on fitness, will I partially attract a subset of women who mainly care about looks? In the same way fitness and money are both still important. Game seems so hard to define

I don’t trust men strutting their stuff - always had the impression that they are hiding something, and I cannot get close to them. But I also think until it’s rewarded ie there are women responding, this behaviour will persist.
