Maybe there are differences between where we live but in the UK Counselling Psychologists can work with any client basis too and this includes people with severe mental health issues such as psychosis. Many jobs within the UK are labelled "counselling psychologist/clinical psychologist" because employers understand how similar the disciplins are. Being a Counselling Psychologist does not make you a 'counsellor' it makes you a professional psychological practitioner in Counselling Psychology, which is a discipline in it's own right such as forensic or clinical. The training is extremely similar too within the UK :) Interesting to hear how the professions are seen elsewhere though!

Do you have a video on Counseling psychology and Social Work? Both can be a counselor. I am interested in hearing more about those two. My thoughts are social work gives you more job opportunity, but I feel like as a future counselor, counseling psychology would be a better option... Let me knkw your thoughts.
