I love how the press blames the train for what is the fault of the car driver! It always happens! A truck driver is not blamed nearly as much!

I work for the railroad, if you get stuck in between the crossing gates you can still drive thru them they have springs in them to allow them to move back and forth, they also are not that heavy to lift up due to a counter weight. It’s better to scratch up your car than not have your car.

I feel like one can just roll up to a Florida DMV and ask for a license and they just give you one.

My parents always stressed that if you cannot clear the tracks, with traffic in front of you, don't cross. Any train, even a vintage steam powered locomotive, will always win.

If they had time to get out they could have driven the car off the track. People that cause these accidents should be held accountable. Think about the injuries they can cause.

Stupid, just stupid!! And this is another reason why insurance rates are so high in south Florida. Drivers like this should t have a license any more. Money can’t fix stupid!

That doesn't look like an accident.

As we were all taught Way Way back in driver's ed: do not stop on the tracks.

If you see that there are crossing barriers on both sides of the track designed to close everything off, the last thing you want to do is be in between them when the signals go active. It's just common sense. Pilot error, learn from the mistake, don't do it again. Always remember that when it comes between a fight between a car and the train, no matter who was right, the train always wins.

Serious question
Do the drivers that disregard the railroad signs/warnings get ticketed for causing these train 💥 collision???

What staggers me is how people are happy to stop on the tracks and leave the vehicle to get hit by a train but not to back up and push the barrier out the way

The name of this video should be "Another idiot tried to beat the train and lost."

Pro Tip: Avoid scratching you car’s paint by not driving through the closed gates, let the train do it for you.

Every person who gets stuck on the tracks: I dont wanna break the crossing gate!!

Railroad: But your ok with trashing your car, the train, the crossing gate and everything around the crossing? Good logic!

It’s not clear what’s happening in front of their car, but you can clearly see no one is blocking the road behind them. Those warning rails that come down are the equivalent of toothpicks to a car. But that’s not the worst move…standing right next to the tracks while a train plows into a car at full speed and sends debris everywhere…that’s the real Darwin challenge.

if the driver knew what she was doing she could of backed up at an angle and got back around the gate to safety so her car wouldnt of been destroyed.

Maybe they couldn't afford payments anymore so they had it destroyed for insurance purposes

Its amazing that they think 25mil will some how fix stupid. The trains not the problem in the first place, if it were why are other train crossing across the US and foreign locations not having this ratio of accidents.
