Honestly, kinda like this, think about it, aside from the added grip, rechargeable batteries degrade over time, luckily these are easier to replace, however, not everyone likes opening up their controller, this is a more user friendly solution, seeing as these batteries are very common, it’s what I love about the hot-swappable batteries of the Xbox controllers (although for that price, an included play and charge kit is kinda nice though)

Problem is, that battery pack is like adding an extra battery pack to the gameboy.
Realistically, you are never going to run out of juice while using either.

I have actually gotten aftermarket ones the have a lithium battery inside of them
