I also highly reccomend a switch case (Dock compatible) that has small grips on the back of the joycons. It's a literal game changer.

Honestly, I hold my joycons in a weird way so I realised that the rubber has ripped on the bottom of my left thumb stick, so I definitely need the grips

POV: you tried adding a custom backplate but couldn’t because 1 single screw was stripped

Agreed, thumbcaps just make the joycons thumbstick so much better as its grippier and makes it taller, making for better controls. Now its still joycons, so it wont be as good as the likes of hori in terms of ergonomics and controls, but those thumb caps definitely do their purpose well.

thumb grips are real fun!! i have lil paw print ones, a red one on my blue joycon and a blue one on my red joycon. would recommend them :D

Or if you really want extra grip with your joycons just get a satisfye or skullnco grip, very nice grips and you get to keep all the OEM functionality of official joycons (because your not replacing your joycons)

i have the split pad pros and can confirm its very good

I personally have the split pad pro, and I love them. I have big hands, so normal joycons just make my hands hurt if I use them for too long.

When i think of getting Joycons, I'm thinking of those in the same size and shape as the official ones so they still fit in my case.

All you really need is a Satisfye grip and thumb grip extenders

I want to use joy cons so bad bc it’s a REALLY cool idea (and they just have really cool designs put on them) but u see drift even if I can send them in, man that’s just sad.

The grips are good for rising the joystick, making transitioning from joy con to pro con more comfortable, and also better grip for grinding on botw
