I put off seeing that movie for decades... It held up! It's a really original, not-a-second-of-boredom, feast of entertainment. Seen it 3x in the last 2 years. And, oh my, Mr. Butler was quite lovely to watch... as were all those mighty Spartans. 😏👍💖

I love this film. Definitely one I can watch many times and still enjoy it every time. Those men all looked like the strongest and best warriors in the world. I loved the cinematography and how the director used color filters to create the realistic atmosphere of being in an ancient time in the past. Gerard Butler was the embodiment of King Leonidas. He was born to play that role. His acting was incredible.

It was not eight weeks. They worked out for six months and Gerard Butler said he worked out for a year before shooting. They did very hard workouts every day never did the same workout twice and I’m sure had help from doctors.
