I would like to share how I aim for my shot with you guys

I tried many many ways to aim good

The best I found is :
The first feather.. Your eyes are directed on the cue ball to make sure that you are hitting the cue ball at the exact point you decided to and to make sure that you don't put any side

Then
Don't ever look at the cue ball
Just keep looking at your tip directed to the object ball and imagine that your are going to hit it instead of the cue ball where it goes

That of course requires a perfect cue action

Watching you since last 3, 4 years.
Learnt alot from your lessons and executed in the game. It really worked out for me and now, I am loving it.
Finally, I can keep myself calm and pot balls positively.

@BartonSnooker is the best. Cheers dost.
Love from India 🇮🇳

Always watch your coaching, improved massively over the last few years thanks. Often run through your advice even as I get down on the shot, reminds me not to slip back into bad habits! Cheers

This dammit black always is a guessing game. Many coaches recommend to train black-to-black routine but it is incredibly hard! Because not only potting 20-30-40 blacks in a row from random position is hard but area for comfortable potting is quite small! Once your white higher or lower than half ball cut – and the cueball rolls to Canada. I can't make even 10 blacks in this exercise :(

Nice video lad. I was taught by less Dodd about quarter, half, 3/4 ball, always use it as a guide then adjust if needed. That sounds 1 hard tip you have on???

Your videos and tips are the best I've seen. I'm from Cologne, would love a lesson with you here. Have you ever thought of teaching outside of England? Cheers, Rüdiger

Hiya Steve hope your well can you do anything on cueing across the ball?

Why is it sometimes you can get down on a shot without even looking at the potting angle and it feels right. Other times you look at the potting angle get down and miss. Why is that?

I play snooker for almost 4 years.. I've never been in a ball game before.
I'm a fast learner person and after all that 4 years.. If I want to put a checklist including the steps to achieve a perfect play.. Then of course I will put cue action superior to all other elements.

I do believe that every single club player aims good for most shots.. But a little have a good cue action

I do also believe that perfect cue action = effortless game

And again.. As being a snooker player for only 4 yrs including 1& half year of quarantine due to Covid-19 without playing... And After I applied this in every shot I play.. I started to make > 50 breaks.. and Im now working on break building training.. Wish me luck

I’m hoping this will be the answer to my issues. I have a good technique, I’ve filmed myself and watched everything closely. I look very orthodox, even to some of the highly skilled players, however, I can’t make a break of more than twenty most frames/exercises. Lot’s of things to consider, but maybe it’s just repetition and training my brain to confirm angles consistently. Thank you for the video!
