As a Veteran with TBI and PTSD, I appreciate my wife who observes and reacts to my needs when I fail to recognize them. She feeds my service dog, brings my medication when my dog alerts, makes sure I drink enough water daily, etc. I don’t always respond with kindness but she cares for me anyway.

Knowing me better than anyone else. I knew she was the one when we were at a party. I had a group of people just rolling with laughter. I mean peeing their pants laughing. We looked at each other from across the room. She walked over to me and never broke eye contact. She then whispered “what’s wrong?” My best friend didn’t even know something was wrong. That was 23 years ago. This July is 20 year anniversary.

My precious wife was still nurturing me while she was on her death bed. She constantly ask The nurse to do things for me, even to prepare food for me. She was the one who needed people to nurture her, but she was constantly thinking about me. I will never forget her, she is my darling forever. She passed away of cancer 2021

Men are simple beings. They're not that complicated to please.

1) If you don't tell us what you want, don't expect us to read your minds in order to get it. A saying where I live roughly translates to: "If you don't cry, you won't suckle". If a baby cries in order to be fed, tell us things and get to the point.

2) Emotionally nurturing. About the only motherly trait guys want in their partners on an intimate level. When we get from work, we want to return to the oasis of peace that is home. A good wife will listen to her husband and comfort him in ways that will give him the push to continue. We want to continue for them and any children we may have. And in return, we'll give you the support you need.

3) If you are compassionate to others, know that your partner knows you'll be compassionate to him and any children you raise.

Cover all our needs, and we'll cover yours.

A bad relationship can be described as having a pot of food and 10ft long spoon. You both are starving because you're trying to feed yourselves. A good relationship - same situation, but you both are full and satisfied because you're feeding each other.

I have unfortunately come to understand that I cannot express any vulnerability purposefully without risk of it being used against me, so when I'm in a vulnerable situation I chose to keep it to myself.
Worse of all is when I receive any comfort from others I have been unable to see it as genuine due to my past experiences ☹️
