I am using iodised salt for last 28 years. I am completely alive, fit without any BP issue.

Not everyone can afford green leafy vegetables. The problem of goitre can easily take over on poverty ridden people hence iodine salt is a pretty cheap solution to counter that. Fortified food isn't necessarily bad.

Doctors recommend to use iodized salt to prevent idodine deficiency resulting thyroid.

Pregnant women are usually at a risk of iodine deficiency with can lead to thyroid. So sticking to iodized salt is a better option. Also the "preferred" salt according to you is quite expensive.

Please do not underestimate the use of iodine. One of my relatives got very sick because of not using iodine based salt.

It is important to know how and why iodized salt was recommended by public health policies. Videos like these will undo all the progress made as far as the health of populations affected by iodine deficiency. Moreover, none of the claims made in her videos is backed by any scientific evidence. Practice caution while believing all kinds of unscientific content.

I got thyroid issues due to daily use of rock salt for 6 months, thank God it was detected early and I had to literally take thyrocare medicine for 1 year approx.
People kindly use iodine tata salt that's best, as at the end heakth matters.

Dear lady, you should understand dangers of using rock salt too-

It has high chloride content which can lead to hyperchloremia.

It has no iodine which means iodine deficiency and onset of health issues.

Fatigue, muscle weakness, high acidity, ulcer, osteoarthritis, kidney issues & high BP are also associated.

In some samples, even toxic heavy metals have also been found.

In fact, there are many forms of rock salts which are produced locally without proper refining process.

Nevertheless, a few points as I mentioned above also apply to refined salts however to a far less extent.

Therefore, consumption of refined salt in moderation is still safer than raw rock salts.

But yes, less refined Himalayan Pink Salt is a better choice over many other forms of rock salts.

Lady, seems like you're boycotting everything by means of your videos.

Your conjecture about every edible thing is not acceptable as most of the things are highly impractical for people given the socio-economic conditions.

You're interdicting everything putting a big question mark against the food industries & market. This spree of yours will land you into trouble someday.

I'm a hypothyroid patient from the past 3 years, got it after my pregnancy. Doctor advised me to take iodised salt to maintain the level of hypothyroidism.
Also I want to share that certain videos of this channel had promoted the intake of satvik food to cure ailments and for healthier life, that also included Rheumatoid arthritis. We blindly followed their routine as at that time my mother was diagnosed with RA factor and was quite painful for her. The diet limited the protein intake and instead of improvement, her health deteriorated very badly. Her weight reduced drastically and it's been 6-7 months still we're struggling to make a her gain weight.

Whatever they preach and practice, nothing is authorised and recommended by doctors. So pls if anyone's following them, be really careful and cautious.

Govt should also regulate these so-called "health influencers" by providing licensing and certification exams to carry out any healthy advisory videos..

For those who are having any skin problems it's better to avoid pink or rock salt! Dermatologists suggest to avoid rock salt and obviously maintain food diary. Eat whatever suits you! Be happy ❤

we can reduce the amount in the food we cook but we shouldn't stop it. I am thyroid patient and iodine deficient. I experimented this and suffered from low bp and weakness. So we should use both salts moderately

In India there are lot of people who are deficiet of iodine that is the reason there was a revolution of Iodized salt so discouraging is not a good idea...

Please do not discourage use of iodized salt!!!! Iodine deficiency goitre was a huge public health problem in 60s and 70s which was successfully addressed with fortification. The usual consumption of veggies is India is not going to cut it. You have a reach in community, you got to be more responsible with your content. Please edit the video.

Fortified salt is the best source of iodine for common indian vegetarian population. I have no idea what vegetables are you talking about that have enough amount of iodine to deal with the goitre prevalance in India. Which is why the government of India encourages fortified salt in the first place. Nowadays there is even double fortified salt that is fortified with iron and iodine to be distributed in anganwadis and such. Don't try to take the country back to pre independence era.
