I just got done fixing my 2014 F30 328dxdrive. I rebuilt the t-case from a output flange and main shaft failure.
I decided to get the ISTA+ from Dean, and with the help from this video I was able to re calibrate the t-case.
man, BMW DR is awesome!
I thought I could get by with my snapon solus ultra. HAHA, no way.

Hi Dean. I can't thank you enough for this. You are creating serious content here. I recommend everyone of your subscribers to read your "about" section to realise how many years of your life you have dedicated learning bmw coding/programing/diagnostics etc. It takes a special person for this as it is bloody hard to learn. I have a rare E38 740i with ACC (active cruise control) which is not working. Not sure why and not sure how to fix it. There is absolutely no content there as it is such a rare option on the old E series. I believe it was available on e38 first in the end of year 2000 and only installed on 7 series e38 Would love if you can help mate. I genuinely can't think of anyone else that can help? Thanks once again for this video Dean

Trying to connect my '03 540iT but ISTA will not transfer data. Shows last 7 of VIN with zeros after letters. No problem with handheld scanner Launch Creader VIII. is it because I have swapped my OE cluster for an M5 cluster? I have learned a great deal from your channel. thanks.

hi doctor dean I have an issue with my BMW m235i where I attempted to use the Carly tool to program a digital speedo to my cluster however it appears to have broken the KOMBI device and I cannot restore it. I have had this issue before and costed me £200 to get re-coded or whatever the garage done. I was wondering if learning this software might fix my problem and will hopefully cost a-lot less than what I had to pay before. If this is something you can assist me with in what software I will need and cables etc will be much obliged.

06/2000 330d E46: i already have the obd2 plug in the footrest (no more plug in the engine bay) and i can communicate with the OBD Plug, but i cant communicate with the ECU. I tried a BT adapter as well (and different apps) - same result: communication to the OBD2 adapter is fine, but no word from the ECU. (ISTA/Rheingold and ADIBIAS SW with all ports checked in the config files does not work either).
I checked OBD2 voltages and fuses and i also tried connecting Pin 7 and Pin 8 to no avail. I also tried to unplug everything from the ecu and reconnect one by one, unplugging the steering angle sensor and both xenon drivers did not help either.

I am out of ideas - any suggestions?

Hey bro outstanding video, when I try to clear fault codes with isda d with kdcan cable, half way through deleting the faults I get a pop up message saying something like turn off ignition and take key out and no button except cancel icon which cancels the process. Any light on this plz

Hi Dean, having a no crank no start on E60 525 d LCI, had a weak battery, renewed that but didn't register to the car, now I'm wondering, is it an ews/ DME sync, crankshaft sensor or what. I have bought a laptop with BMW software installed., BUT I'm useless with computers. Put a new starter in, --- no difference, all fuses o.k. PLEASE HELP.

Hey man, love your vids, got a quick question though, i'm about to buy an e46 330d and i would like to know which software i should get to use on it, whether it's the Ista that you are showing or something else, because from what i have seen from your videos is that you recommend this on an e60 and e90 but i am not sure what to get for the e46, so if you have any recommendation, please let me know. I have been using a Delphi diagnostic for a while that is more generic for pretty much all cars but has its limitations, i want something more bmw specific and more e46 and e36 specific
