Hey Doc,
Your volt stabilizer, is it similar as the battery maintainer as fas functions?

Had issues with reinstalling my whole NTB setup which I used for years. No VMimage but all deployed straight into W7 x64. Along with other diag SW. So not really that easy to keep all in one system :) Now once I had all set up again I wanted to install ISTA-P as a last add on. Bad for me not enough space on the SSD anymore. Been studying more and more about that and ran into this video. ISTA-P and ICOM only. Thought for a time there was more to it and my gut was once more right again :) thanks for the info, gonna stay the way I am only without ISTA-P, since an ICOM is a bit overkill for me right now.

Hello mate, great video, very informative. Quick question... I want to replace my rem (for pdc upgrade - original was missing needed pins). What would you recommend as best software to code new (used) rem to car? I’ve tried ista+ but hit a problem. I’ve got esys and ista p working. But wondered if it would be easier using winkfp or something else? Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Hello sir. First of all I want to say thank you for your videos, they are so useful! with that said, can you please let me know how to program de steering servotronic? my steering wheel is stiff and I read some forum online where they suggest to program the servotronic so the steering wheel will be lighter. Do you know anything about it? I have a 2005 BMW E53. I will apreciate any comments. Thank you so much in advance.

Great video! I agree with you, don't reprogram every module unless if needed. Less is better . Quick question, I have programming data 4.39.20 with my ISTA P . Where are the change-logs provided from the previous data versions? I have yet to update my modules, what gains would I see ?

Hi, thank you very much for your video. I regularly use Icom A2 to program bmw of friends. We have changed the ACdelco valve body of a GM transmission (BMW 320i 2012). When connecting a standard scanner, it does not recognize the new transmission valve body. Can I code ACdelco valve body with ISTA-P? The valve body is new and has never been programmed. Thank you very much dr.

When using this software to program new computers such as the ecu or tcm, do the replacement ecu's need to be new or can they be used units from other cars?

Can this be used to reprogram a transmission control module in an E83 X3?

Great video. Very detailed and informative. I have a 2007 bmw 530xi wagon US model. I believe my EHC (electronic height control) module for the rear suspension and also my tailgate module got damaged by water intrusion into the trunk area. Prices for a brand new modules are quite expensive. If I went ahead and purchased used modules from eBay would I be able to just plug them in without coding? Or do I need to code the used modules to my car? If so, is ISTA P capable of coding these used modules to my car?

What your recommendation for good voltage stability when coding.

good,
I liked the instructional video how to use ista p, my question is, how do I keep updating the modules when I have a broken module. for example the pdc module my car is broken it asks to replace, but I don't have to automatically stop updating, ask to replace.

Batteries are very good voltage stabilizers but if the curent demand is high they may not be able to keep a steady voltage. Also at high current there is likely the voltage will drop below the threshold. If you needed something like between 12 and 13V I think it could have worked but with a high current charger. Anyway yes, the voltage stabilizer is the best way to go since the program is very sensitive about voltage.
