I moved to Bountiful Utah in 1973 from Hannibal Mo. It was a huge culture shock but I made friends quickly and easily. I'm still living here and am currently 61 years old. I've always loved nice, fast cars etc. The one thing that is really starting to bother me is that people are driving way, way too fast. The new normal speed is now between 90-100 mph. WTH is going on people? Slow down!! Not only do people drive too fast but everyone seems to be wearing blinders like they're the only car on the road. Extremly rude drivers that drive way too fast is my biggest complaint but I'm betting it's like that everywhere now. Thanks for your video,

I'm really surprised you didn't have the state run liquor stores that are closed sundays and holidays. No wine at Costco, etc.. most people are super surprised by that

Cody I think you put out great content. I live in CA and have friends that left CA and now live in Utah. Some of them love it and some like it. My wife and I are considering the move as well and your videos are useful and address a lot of how we feel as well as our concerns. I hope your channel grows and am actually surprised you don't have more views and subscribers given the population increase in Utah. Keep at it!

I am in Sugar house now. I am from Baltimore originally. This city/state/region is the best in the USA and if people back east understood it they would be in shock and all want to move here. 2 completely different worlds.

I am from the Midwest. I moved here and got my first speeding ticket. The big difference here is that Utah only allows two weeks to pay for the ticket. In Indiana you have 60 days.

Living here in Salt lake is way relaxing. The air is bad and it will trigger allergies and asthma. The Utah laws are very strict. LDS people stay to themselves. It's the culture here but the religion isn't pushed in others. If anything LDS members are very giving. The downtown night life on main street, State Street area from South Temple to 1300 South is the best way to meet all walks of life.

I reside in San Francisco, California, yet the air quality is perfect by comparison with SLC. And yes the "homeless" issue here it's certainly bad by comparison...

Thank you for the informational video! We are moving there at the end of the month from the Chicago area! We are looking for a rental for a year, then will buy! 😊

People are very friendly but as a non-mormon, my experience as an implant from Oregon after 13 years is that everyone already has their own tribe. No one needs a new friend. We are thinking about leaving because of this.

Actually SLC has become foodie area. Go to Logan there are a ton of small business owned restaurants. I lived there my entire life and my son is huge into foods. So you might want to take your blinders off.

I actually find that there is a lot of trash on the highways out here a long with a homeless problem. Other than that, I really love living here!

Bad air quality?? The air quality in Utah is amazing! I could actually breathe when I visited. Wayyy better than here in Mississippi.

Cody, thanks for all of the great videos, we are thinking about relocating to the Salt Lake City area, what is the education like out there? We have to young kids that are autistic and need special needs? How accommodating are the school district for special needs kids?

As a French liking the idea of immigrating to the states one day I really like SLC especially for the outdoors and progressive city population from what I heard. Do you think it would be doable for someone with no real career to find work there that would go out of their way to hire immigrants and ease settling in, or is it a location that is easier for Americans (and, more generally rich people) to relocate to? I know it's quite of a vague question and it's already a long shot in most instances not particularly in SLC, but I wonder what's your thoughts on this you did mention some people come from abroad to live there? i don't need much for amenities but finding a cheaper home with a backyard I can grow food in would be awesome.

I found the music very distracting. Maybe something softer and slower that fades more into the background. The car insurance rates here were a shock to me, as is the poor driving and number of car accidents. I came from a city that reduces speed on the Interstate to 65mph within city limits. That seems more reasonable. Seems like a lot of people here do 80+ on I15 and that terrifies me. It's also very poorly lit at night. I'm in Davis county and definitely find the grocery stores inadequate. Where we lived in Albuquerque there were health food co ops, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Asian and Hispanic food markets, etc. And eating out in general just had a much better food selection than here. I'm not driving all the way to Salt Lake City just for a decent meal.
