I miss my old girl. 99 Yukon with the 5.7L, leather bench seats made it feel like driving a couch. No matter the abuse she just kept going and would not die. Unfortunately age + NY rust killed the frame.

RIP Bertha.

What about the RAV4? Not really a list of reliable SUVS without a RAV.

I own a 4Runner and a Supra. I’m hoping they will be the last cars I have to buy until my 50s or 60s. I’m 34.

Ranking a modern BMW up there with toyotas in terms of reliability is just 100% completely false, misleading, and shows poor research. Modern german cars (from the 00's and up) come nowhere NEAR toyotas. Especially BMW. Mercedes Diesels, maybe. But BMW? absolutely not. They are entirely eletronic controlled plastic pieces of junk that are incredibly complicated and expensive to fix, and they need to be fixed a lot. And dont even get me started on theowing Chevy up here as well. What a joke

What a poorly researched list. Expeditions with Ecoboost are now trash due to Cam Phasers. GM’s Suburban and equiv Cadillac, GMC models are trash since 2015 due to that trash 10-speed transmission, and gobs of electrical problems. Sequoias and land cruisers are being recalled for CORE engine defects, solution still yet to be determined, but there’s NO WAY you can say they are or will be reliable. Honda Pilot was famous for transmission failures. Disappointed in your lack of research sir. You are not helpful to consumers and coming more across as a shill

The market is so boring. Whole lot of trucks and mini boxes.. Miss the days of the "car".. Too bad most cars cost over 100k and are either made only by BMW, Audi, Honda, and now Hyundai stepped up.

Ideal Cars are wrong about new Toyota

2023 and above new engine especially with V35A Twin Turbo with Tundra Sequoia Land Cruiser 300 series Lexus LX600 is absolutely least reliable engine, electrical problems, Engine failure, Transmission issues, expensive to replace the engine to deal with it, breaking issues, quality issues, and CR are lying about the whole truthful engine, stay away from those and get UR series 4.6s and 5.7s V8, the V35A will always ALWAYS 🫵 be broken

Note the list only applies to the vehicles to pre-2021 ( Lockdowns) which for Toyota was reliable None Turbo V6 and V8's. All after were due new employees, and not hood with Quality and Engineering who think that mounting Turbos without insulation blanket next to Engine without a Heat Shield between them. Is good enough and I lived thru 2 Engines with Turbos within 1.5 years. I will never buy any vehicle with Turbos unless it it's a Porsche, which mount them in the quarter panels next to side intakes. Away from the engine block.
