We went down to Kissimmee, Florida to see Charlee Soto, the 17-year-old making national headlines throwing almost 100 MPH. Charlee is a projected first-round draft pick this year and is looking like MLB's next big flame-throwing righty. I wanted to see what goes on in a "day in the life" of a future professional baseball player - how he trains, what he eats, his throwing routine, etc. - so we took a flight down to FL to find out! Hope you guys enjoy it! 🔥

Do this kid a favor and tell him to STOP trying to throw with 120% at all times. He’s got an awesome arm… haven’t we realized that letting these kids air it out all the time at such a young age is a recipe for destroying a good young arm. If he’s able to throw 99 at 17, then he can probably throw 94-95 at about 85-90%. He’s still growing and developing. Give him a fair chance to have some longevity. I’m just tired of seeing young pitchers with potential being encouraged to go all out at such a young age and ending up destroying the elbow or shoulder. Everyone thought Strasburgh was able to throw at that sort of velocity with no issues at such a young age… he is now plagued by injuries and I do believe firmly that they could have been mitigated or maybe avoided all together if he was instead encouraged to back off just a little bit.

We had a pitcher in Fallon Nevada named John Lewis that was throwing big heat. The kid was MLB bound but the Coaches wouldn't rest day him on the way to State ; blew out his elbow.
Gotta let these kids develop structurally if we want them to do well long term.

Only being 17 and throwing 99 or higher is just insane. Bet he’ll be the next greatest pitcher of all time and beat Chapmans 108

If his goal is to make money, he'll make a bunch with his arm speed. If his goal is to be an all time great he'll need to open his ears to listening to coaches who can get him on the path of pitching as an art form, by setting up pitches and keeping batters guessing.

Hope this kid doesn’t wind up like Strasburg where he’s coming out of HS throwing fire only to have his body fall apart by the time he’s 25. Don’t overdue it kid.

Sheesh. Seeing a pitcher throw low 80s as a freshman was already scary to try and stay in the box against. Can't imagine being a high schooler and having to bat against 99mph 😂

Glad he's from Kissimmee. Nobody talks a lot about Kissimmee but they always talk about Tampa or Miami or Orlando so it's good to see someone represent.

A dude could literally throw 200 mph at 5 years old and haters will still say he sucks
