Staphylococcus aureus

What is staphylococcus aureus? Staphylococcus aureus, sometimes called staph aureus, is a gram positive coccus that grows in clusters. It’s a part of the normal skin and nasal flora in about a quarter of the population, but if it overgrows or if the skin is damaged, then it can cause disease through direct colonization, toxin production, or both.

I got a cellulitis with staph aureus, and Bactrim didn’t even slow the spread. Incredibly painful to move. Leg was on fire non stop. 5 days in the hospital, I think vancomycin saved my life. A month later, I am still recovering with minor pains. The leg still looks awful, but I’m antibiotic—free for a week now

I had hospital acquired MRSA osteomyelitis for almost 3 years after had 8 reconstructive surgeries. I had a fall down a flight of stairs causing multiple compound fractures & spent almost 2 years, on & off in the hospital. I had repeated 105°+ fevers, systemic sepsis and cellulitis and almost lost my leg. The Vancomycin IV, hyperbaric oxygen, wound vacuum & multiple other current treatments weren't working well. When my doctor came to me & said to prepare myself, that they were going to amputate, something in me switched on. I decided I was done being sick and healed myself through meditation.
For people in the medical field, don't doubt that human beings naturally have the ability to heal themselves. I too work in the medical field as a microbiology med lab tech. But I have have seen people heal themselves repeatedly. Modern medicine has its place. But the human body is vastly capable of so much more than we are aware or give credit to.

I'm an MRSA survivor, and trust me, the experience is very unpleasant, had it right above my belly button as a 3 year old.

I just tested positive of this and mines are rashes that are itchy and they broke into yellow crust. Sometimes I can get muscle pains and had a fever I didn’t realize it would relate to the rash. I thought it was ringworm to psoriasis the whole time. Now learning more about Staph it scares me. Especially how it can evolve and cause death. Let’s hope for the best here. Thank you for the very informative video.

I think i had a staph infection breakout on my wrist and developed in many ichy boils. It went away after washing the area with soap for a few days. Hearing that it could have gotten worse is scary.😢
