I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did! Let me know who else you'd like me to interview in the comments :) 👇
❓If you're missing a label on LabelRadar, please let Ed know, he'll make sure to hunt them down for you!

Most of the labels on Label Radar ask for upfront money in order to release your track, which proves that everything it's business, including music industry, you guys should especify which labels do this so we can select who we are sending the submissions to!😊

Labelrader was a godsend for me, I've had 1 track released recently and 2 more are being released soon, if it weren't for these guys I'd be still sending stuff out there getting no response.
Thank you 🙏🏻.

Loved this interview!

I listened to it while also playing a spotify playlist in the background and it popped 10x harder! Had some synthwave in the background and I felt like I was watching a documentary about how Label Radar was the catalyst to a whole new genre of music being discovered. :)

This man really just said "Skrillex and a lot of the other really early dance music pioneers" 🤣🤣🤣
That's right, Skrillex invented electronic music in 2010... 🤣🤣🤣

i have been on label radar for a bit, gotten a few tracks signed, which is great. However the idea of getting a feedback on which label(s) might be more interested in a track sounds amazing but hasn't happened yet.

Does anyone have experience with sending music to promoters on Label Radar? From what I see in the comments, like labels asking for promotion money upfront from the artists etc. it seems like you don't need a label for that. Then its better to pay a promoter yourself and you can have more control of it (for instance, you can keep the rights to your music yourself). Releasing on platforms is dead easy these days. The only thing you need a label for is actually the promotion and the connections they have with DJ's, but like I said that can also be done with promoters.

There’s always room for improvement, BUT what they’ve been able to achieve so far, with LabelRadar, it’s truly remarkable.
Thank you for sharing, Will.

Some labels have a selection of genres on LabelRadar that is completely different from what they actually release.
Also, the genre definition for a track is sometimes a gray area, e.g. is it Progressive-House or Progressive-Trance? Is it Dance or Electro-House?
So sometimes it's impossible to avoid the "don't send the wrong genre" situation.
For this reason, a great addition to LabelRadar would be to have the ability to choose 2 or 3 genres that a track can fall into.
