So glad it helped. Getting Candy Melts too hot is the worst thing for them. Slow and low melting is key to a good dipping consistency.

I can NEVER get candy melts to melt, they always get lumpy, so I just use cooking chips instead, and this video helped a lot!

Keep stirring and stirring. Don't get your candy melts above 100 deg F. I use a ceramic bowl and allow the heat from the bowl to help slowly melt the candy. I also do not rush to dip. I'll heat and stir, heat and stir and then allow to sit. If the microwave doesn't behave, you can always try a double boiler or an electric melting pot for chocolate. I know other cake poppers who have given up on the microwave. If I do thin my chocolate, I use melted coconut oil a little at a time.

Sorry for the delay in the response. I always melt my chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute at 70% power. Stir and then micro for 30 sec at 70% power and stir some more. Allow it to sit for a few minutes between heating. I also use a ceramic mug and the heat from the mug continues to melt the chocolate as you stir. It takes time to melt chocolate smooth. I did not add anything to this batch.

If you are taking your pops right out of the fridge and dipping them, they will crack. Allow them to sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before dipping. Also, dip straight down and back up again. Best of luck!

I melt it low and slow in the microwave. 30 to 45 seconds at 70% power. The candy gets thick when it's overheated. Don't let it get too hot. The Candy Melts will melt at 95 degrees, so just let it melt slowly.

you can put a tbs of crisco in the melted chocolate to make it thinner and you will have a more smooth finish and it won't be to thick on the cake pop

What do you mean you 'pre-diped the pop with the chocolate'? Does that mean you dip the stick in the chocolate and then put to cake ball on there? And can you also use the method for Oreo Balls?

Do you just let it dry in room temperature or can you them in the freezer?
