Yes, she provided the DNA, which was very nice, but the moment Steve announced that it was a match, she should have been quiet and let both parents have that moment…..

I wonder if a siblings DNA has ever been used and the results are completely wrong unknowingly because the siblings aren’t actually related. Like imagine if THATS how you find out your adopted or y’all only share one parent 🥴

Whether you are unsure if a child is yours or part of your family don't treat the child like trash and don't talk about their looks in a negative way (such as calling the child ugly). The first few months in particular are very important in establishing a bond with you child or potential child/relative so if you're having doubts get the test done very soon. The child doesn't deserve to be denied affections because you don't trust the mother or you're trying to run from child support and raising the child. You do not want to wait years like some jerks do and the child sees their father or relative paying all that attention to an older sibling and they're denied it. Children aren't dumb, a lot of that stuff gets internalized and you're not going to get the bond you could've had even if you apologize and try to make it up to the child. Those scars don't go away. Worse are the people who expect or demand the child "to get over it" or the mothers to accept BS apologies in the cases of the father denying the child only because they want to leave or don't want to pay child support (and that's their real reason but hide it behind distrust claims).

It's so wonderful that he took acceptance right away when he got proof that this is his son and became a father is son need. My son, his father new it's his son but felt so ashame of us he would not tell any of his family that he has a son. Never there financially, physically for my son. My son is now 11 going on 12 years old.
