Felt like I needed to leave a new comment on this video since it feels out of date with Stormgate's release into early access.

TLDR:
- I hate the design of the celestial race, visually and particularly how it works mechanically. The proxies are ridiculous.
- Frost Giant is being way too slow to improve balance in other matchups, particularly dog wars in Vanguard vs Vanguard.
- Units are STILL lacking polish across the board (sound design / visuals / micro)

There's other issues with the game, but as a 1v1 focused player these are my biggest gripes. I've thought about making a video, but I think a lot of this has already been said. I was pretty excited for this game and it's being fumbled pretty badly right now. I haven't played it in a long time because of these issues.

I would say that ZeroSpace is drawing inspiration from more things. Like the mercenary thing isn't completely original. Emperor: Battle for Dune had minor factions like the Fremen, Sardukar, Ixians, Tleilaxu, and Spacing Guild, you could pick to give you extra units.

Their global upgrade tree is also a lot like C&C: Generals or Red Alert 3.

Great narration, useful information, and all done in one take.

Classic example of the algorithm choosing the fate of a video I guess. If you don’t follow the Mr. beast formula it’s gg for the small YouTuber…

A shame that I’m the first comment here after 10 days, but you’ve earned a new subscriber

Zerospace Is the obvious underdog but only because it just isn't SC2. I feel like in 10 years everybody from stormgate will have gone back to SC2 and zerospace hopefully has a small but loyal audience. Anyway good video! +1.

Stormgate has my vote. Strictly becuase its the closest to sc2 BUT with dev support and very nice qol additions. But, Zerospace frankly - overwhelms me. I feel like it has too much going on that if I lose a match, I won't know why or what I did wrong, or what I did right for that matter. sc2 you could watch a replay and find out, same with stormgate. But zero space, it could your hero early game play, it could your exp traits, your unit tech, like a number of factors. Not to say that sc2 losses weren't do to a number of factors, but theres considerably less going on. I like that. Like people don't play chess because it has a ton of stuff to worry about, they play because in its simplicity there's still complexity, but not so much that you can't track down the issue.

Tempest Rising looks sick too. I’m prob least interested in Stormgate. The cartoony graphics are not my cup of tea and all the early reviews I’ve seen have been lukewarm at best. Zerospace and Tempest Rising will hopefully have much stronger debuts. Excited to try them.

Stormgate was a terrible experience for me. The entire game feels so underwhelming, I couldn't play more than 10 games. There's something just lacking. And I went straight back to sc2

As for zerospace, I haven't gotten the alpha key and kinda expected this to happen. Too many pros are duking it out for the tournament. Personally it has far more interesting game mechanics.

Given that likely the #1 in the ZS pool is Scarlett...

Age of empires 4 is, none of these Will be bigger than Aoe 4. Despite that I Think Tempest Rising might have a chance to be bigger than these Two games. Don’t underestimate the hype around Tempest Rising, that game is among the Big boys when we talk about the Big upcoming rts games, if Tempest Rising would be free to play, that is the only Reason along along the former blizzard hype why Stormgate might be the biggest, but if Tempest Rising also went free to play, Then I would Assume that to be the biggest upcoming one
