Damn, hearing Rain at the speed it was actually recorded, it sounds like late 70's/early 80's post punk. Showing how the Beatles were 10-15 years ahead of their time.

The drums, the bass, the guitars the way they played it backwards and slowed it down what a beautiful song I first listened to the song while I was on acid about a year ago I'm only 22 at the moment and damn what a good song it is

I KNEW IT! There was always something about this song that didn’t make sense to me. I even said to a friend once, “I just don’t understand this song, it’s like a cacophony of music.” I could tell something was off.

Revolver is my particular favourite, out of all the Beatles great work.
Also, I believe wholeheartedly that Rain is soooo close to being their finest work...and that's saying something.

I never thought I'd learn something new about the Beatles. I just did. I was always intrigued by the murky sound of Rain but just wrote it off as sound effects.

paperback writer b/w rain was released in may '66 and then strawberry fields forever b/w penny lane in feb '67. pure wonder those 9 mos in between.
