Hello Sir,
Thank you for your video. Huge respect to you, I wouldn't mind betting you made your saw sharper than when it was purchased.
I'm going to attempt to have a go at doing what you've shown us. I've thought about it in the past, though I had an inkling the steel maybe hardened and too hard to file.
I think clamping timber either side of the blade and marking off is a fantastic idea in knowing where you're up to.
With huge respect to you, Sir, I think most people would go and buy a new saw rather than get into all that.
I thought the spirit levels were another great idea, though I humbly think crafts people like yourself would be the people I'd expect to go to those lengths.
I'm definitely going to have a go at what you've shown us.

Interesting. But my main complaint about videos like this is that they assume that EVERYONE has a workshop in their home with a bunch of tools. I do not. Plus I wish he would explain what he is doing and why. Just pointing and doing it isn't working for me.

Would it hurt you to just narrate the video and provide explanation as to what you’re doing? Do you think it might enhance the video to provide words that explain just a few basics of the process which makes it clearer to the audience? Or do you think the task performed in the video is better understood by viewers without having words providing context and helpful tips? Ask yourself that.
