Yes to saw vice, yes to tool restoration. Question: any thought on making nicer wooden handles for cheaper new tools? Like a cheep pull saw in love of a plastic handle making a nicer wood one. Or a bigger cross cut saw and updating the handle to a wooden one? Thoughts?

Taking care of the tools in the "Woodwork for humans" series would be useful. After all, we should take care of the tools we have.

Rex's Restoration Station! I have more cool old tools to fix than I can remember.

I loooove restoring old tools too! There is a deep pleasure in bringing a forgotten, or indifferently cared-for tool back to it's former glory.

I feel like occasional tool restoration would be a nice way to change things up. An entire series on saws would be FANTASTIC! The types, designs, uses, restoration, sharpening, maintenance, proper handling, and storage would make for a great series! The knowledge would be invaluable!.

As long as you still toss in a build your own every now and then, restoration instructions would be a great and informative addition.

Ive started with low cost tools with the intention of replacing with vintage as things wear out or as i discover good ones. So im going hybrid and doing both!

More tool restoration please. You show the quick and easy methods, most videos I have watched seem to make it harder than it needs to be.

Yes, yes, and yes. All of the above. Mix and match, please. So far, I like pretty much *everything* you've done.

I think what originally pulled me in to your channel was your videos on planing. I think what I liked about those videos was that you were introducing us...me to a new tool. I had seen planes before. I have a couple of my dad's old planes, but I had never used one and honestly I guess I didn't really see the value in them. But you introduced these tools and showed the value and how beautiful the results could be using a plane on a piece of wood. For me, it was the introduction and demonstration of a new tool that I found fascinating. Restoration is certainly cool and making tools is fun, but discovering new tools that add new value and extra layers of detail to your work and make your work more unique. . .if my comments have any sway, that's the track I'd like to see you pursue. Great show! Keep up the great work. I'll probably continue to watch whichever track you follow.

Yes to restoration... I have some of my grandfather's woodworking tools, but I want to WORK with them, not just polish them and put them behind glass. Also have a separate pile of old tools that are not familial, but they need some love too. I am in your patreon program.

At first I couldn’t find any vintage tools in my area and then my grandmother gave me my great grandfather’s tools. So I’m very happy and got a lot of work to do!

Definitely include more restorations. Tool maintenance and restoration. What better way to enjoy this hobby. Jim

Thanks for taking some of the "Magic" out of sharpening hand saws Rex. That's a nice saw
you have.

I love vintage tools, it's strictly all I use as I collected antique tools before I even started woodworking.

I would like to see a balance of old tools restored and how to use them along with your other tricks of taking cheap tools and making them workable as well as making your own tools. I enjoy your efforts and yor sense of humor. Thanks
