in my case in conq, the english player just doesnt give up after 1 tower like whamen did. they keep building more and building barracks or archery range depending on what you make. not really realistic that a english player would forgo their 5 villager rush after 1 tower...

As malians english will burn down the pitmine before you can get gold for the ageup, then burn the houses. It seems very effective on altai when gold is in front.

Good english players put the tower, mine the gold and build a proxy councilhall and a barracks

Had this happen to me on Chinese. Unfortunately I raged quit when I didn’t necessarily need to. Especially with Chinese.

as someone who english rushed a lot, the biggest counter is people who just throw 10 guys on gold and get all the gold they need to age up in one rotation, and then pull the workers after they get hit by one volley (takes 2 volleys to kill a vil and they reload slow). English can't do anything about it

How would you defend English tower rush as japanese? No knights in feudal. Really nothing in feudal that can counter mass longbows especially when they just make a few spearmen so you cant mass horses.

4 villager rush with 2 staying on food is more effective imo. Decent resource gathering with good pressure

the ideal strat is to mine 100 gold with the english vils, and then move then funnel longbows

By the way I lost a 2v2 game, I was playing against 2 englisht player and they villager rushed me at the same time, there was nothing I could do, they put 1 tower on gold and the other on wood. What can i do in this situation? My ally tried to help me but I was way to behind.

Her villagers are on gold (yours), that isn‘t idle. Couldn‘t they pressure more when they build a barrack instead of a tower?

this game needs a bit of an earlygame speed-up imo (+ rebalancing around that) like sc2 did when they increased the number of workers u start with..
its kinda frustrating to play in low elo, where nothing happens until the 12th minute, but then one person just dies at the 13th.. either that or both players play defense and build up for 25+ mins xd

for example 2 scout starts might be a decent change. more APM early + more balanced sheep split. or maybe start with 1 of each gathering-building. adding workers can be really hard to rebalance, but also doable.
