Even though I’ve had my switch since launch I’ll take the 3DS any day. While I love my switch there is just so much content on the 3DS

Just bought a Switch, but I've been playing my 3DS XL for the past 5 years and I LOVE it! Well over 1000 hours of game play on it and counting. Still worth every penny. I have a PS Vita and and even older PSP. Nothing beats Nintendo when it comes to handhelds.

Just buy a 3ds. Switch is 300 dollars and it just barely came out. The 3ds already has a price drop and huge library of games.

The original 3DS design is really subjective. In my opinion it was the best looking one.

Switch has like 3 good games, 3ds has the entire ds and 3ds library at its disposal. I was pumped for pokemon on switch but the trailer looks like they’re making it for toddlers... From someone that owns both, I rarely touch the switch and might sell it soon. I’m on the 3ds/ds/gba much more often. But thats just me.

I think that the best option is to buy the both of them, the 3DS and the SWITCH ( if you can afford it :V). The 3DS has backward compatibility, so you can play 3DS, DS and DSi games... If you want to play 3DS or DS games, a 3DS is a must

Got a used pink 3ds for 40 bucks. Was super worth it. Hacked the console and installed lots of games and themes :)

The 2DS is $60 on eBay, officially refurbished, you can get it in red and blue.

I still love the GBA SP in 2018 lol! But the 3DS is amazing because of backwards compatibility and virtual console so the game library is almost endless

Amazing evaluation! I got my first ever Nintendo 3ds when I was in the hospital, for appendicitis. My mom got me 5 games, a case, charger, and the console itself. I still have that original 3ds, but over the years, I've gotten up to 5 3ds's. My original 3ds, 2ds, 2ds xl, new 3ds, and a new 3ds xl.

I think it all comes down to one question.

Are you going to pass up the opportunity to play Cooking Mama? Since the answer is obviously "No! Of course not!" I'd consider the 3DS an easy sell.

This is definitely one of the best videos I've seen on the 3DS and the entire family of handheld great job. I personally own a 3DS XL and the two DX. Plus every retro NES system ever made from the original NES the Wii the Wii U and I just picked up a top loader. But these guys definitely covered everything. I wish every video on the 3DS was like this.

Gosh, the original 3ds is that old already? I got mine a year or so after release (got it cause of x and y) and I remember shedding blood, sweat, and tears to save up for it. Then the "new" 3ds rolled out and I was piiiissssed!
Hadn't even had the console for a 2 years and there was already an "upgrade". I still use my original, despite the fixes/updates to the new 3ds I couldn't justify buying it when mine worked just fine.
