Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television series that premiered on May 17, 2020, on TNT. It is based on both the 2013 film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho.
Snowpiercer has since returned for it's final season on AMC.

I've been less than thrilled with season 4 so far, now that they are not on the train and are on regular ground it feels like just another run of the mill sci-fi survival movie I've seen a hundred times, make a base camp, survive, throw in some drama and all I really wanna see is if they find a secret bunker with food, nukes, and supplies and stuff. Or they find out there are people living up on a space station in orbit.

I found this episode to be really poorly done. Layton's character, while understandably grieving and angry, was quite insufferable to watch. You were spot on about his speech being forgettable. The writing for this episode was pretty poor. I hope things improve this season.
