'Big Alice' arrives - Snowpiercer

Not much is known about the second train so far other than that it was originally a prototype, built before Snowpiercer.

The train is also thought to contain spare parts for the main train and be much slower than Snowpiercer.

But one of the most critical revelations about Big Alice is that it is controlled by none other than Mr. Wilford (played by Sean Bean) who is alive after all.

Despite being slower than the main train, towards the end of the finale, Big Alice managed to attach itself to Snowpiercer as Wilford took control of their systems.

gotta appreciate Alice’s aggression, pulling the brakes hard and clipping the tail of Snowpiercer when it switched tracks, before ramming into the tail of SP with a decepticonish anger

That scene of Big Alice just plowing through the snow is brilliant and scary at the same time

I still remember the exact words I said when I saw Big Alice:

"ANOTHER TRAIN?!!! HOW DOES IT HAVE ANOTHER TRAIN??!!"

It was "originally" slower than SP but SP has been getting slower and slower every revolution because the parts it needs are wearing out.

It emerges from the snow with that eerie music, then slides alongside snowpiercer like a snake as the menacing music kicks in and finally latches onto it's prey.

I’m late to this but I love the fact that the parts that Wilford made where super over engineered and flashy while the parts that Melanie made where all practical!

It’s also really cool how that’s actually a pretty big deal seeing as what happens after.

Being a train buff for most my life I have no idea how the forced the switch without derailing the whole train but hey, its science and stuff.

I think the train before hooking to Snowpiercer is just called icebreaker, the big fusion locomotive at the end is probably big alice

Watched this show in my Covid hibernation. This scene was SO cool. The way they build up that absolutely no one is left and nothing is changing and even their “leader” has “died”… and then BOOM. Great shiw
