Intel: "28 cores, THAT outta show AMD! I bet they're crying over that 24 core processor we found out they were going to show!"
Amd: "About that..."

It's amazing how far AMD has come. Before 250w got you the FX 9590 with its 8 "cores"/8 threads, now you're getting 32 cores/ 64 threads for the same TDP. Just amazing

It's crazy how fast paced the CPU market is now compared to a little over a year ago

Inb4 YouTubers start making "Is Threadrippper 2 *REALLY* better for content creation!?"

How did Intel fall behind AMD when they literally had 10x the budget for CPU development? Intel made $50 billion last year, AMD made $6 billion. Wtf is Intel doing with all their

"drops the mic"
You mean sticks the mic up Intel's new ripped one

32 cores?
Jesus.... 1 year of competition and we are already here.
I know I dont need 32 cores for my gaming/streamin PC.... but... Ive been saving for a while.... I might just buy that thing.

Intel had to know that was coming, seeing as how AMD can literally just keep "Gluing" CCX's together as long as they have package space lol.

It's as if AMD KNEW that Intel executives will go running to their RND team like pussies and beg them to make as many a core cpu as possible.

They make it months later with 28 cores... Then AMD drops the mic on Intel with *Drum Roll*...

*32 MOFOKIN CORES WITH 64 HYPETHREADS* (Emphasis on The HYPE)

*Intel burning in the background and saying to themselves "It's fine..."*

this will be why intel anounced there 28 core part, trying to piss on AMDs party. The power and heat from the intel part will probably be massive though.

Just a reminder that early last year, 4c/8t was considered 'high-end'.

Amd is going back again and it's ready to kick asses!!

And Intel thought they were cool with their 28c 56t 800w sipping monster

This means Intel won't be able to sell their 28 core cpu for $3000-4000

This is AMD's territory, their architecture is made to be scalable with as much cores as they want, it was never meant to fight those low core count, low latency Ring Bus CPUs that are so good at gaming. Fighting AMD in a core war is like invading Russia in the winter, they had it coming.

Intel: 28 core 56 thread

AMD: hold muh beer

This makes me happy that there is finally another CPU war going on. Now we'll finally have some progress in this space that got restarted in 2017 with first gen Ryzen that was previously stagnant for the 5 years prior.

AMD do you have anything to say? AMD- "Hold my beer..."

Seriously though a Xeon Platinum on a 32 phase power delivery with exotic cooling and probably drawings close to 1.2kw... pretty bad PR stunt...Intel is shook

Finally, we have a core count war that should have happened a decade ago. Now software engineers need to catch up on multithreaded workloads, and we can get back to Moore's Law in CPUs.
