You’re right that 11/22/63 isn’t scary, except for when Jake is piddling around the old Iron Works ruins in Derry and hears something rustling in the fallen smokestack.... That scene convinced me to read IT!

Whenever a friend asked me to suggest a King's book to read for the first time, I would always recommend The Dead Zone, The Green Mile or 12/22/63.

IT is really a story of lost friends ...and a lost childhood in form of a little brother ...being devoured by a unknown beast..the sorrow and grief the helplessness of loosing a little younger brother...which lingers with one of the characters though out his whole life....

I haven’t read The Dead Zone, Needful Things, or The Shining yet, so I’m sure my list will likely change, but these are my Top 10 to date. I know the Tommyknockers is a controversial one, but I thought it was just so much bloody fun to read! Also, not a huge Dark Tower fan, but I absolutely adored Insomnia despite the Dark Tower connections. Thanks for your list, Dave. Always love your videos. Best King content out there, IMO. Cheers!

I don't think I've seen The Dark Half in any of these type of videos and i'm glad to see it here 'cause in my opinion the concept and execution in that one is great!! It also has some really scary scenes

I'm SO happy to see Bag of Bones in your top 10, it's my favourite King I've read so far! Insomnia was also really great, but I think I need to read the dark tower series to get all the references! Misery, Pet Semetary are some of my favs too 😊✌️
