For $5 you get a big cooked chicken at Costco's. That's a lot more than 4 chicken nuggets at McDonald's.

The very last time I went to McDonald’s was in 2019. Only wanted a drink, had cash, went to the counter. The staff walked me back to the self order screen. Rolex my eyes & used the screen. Took my ticket back to the counter the staff walked me back from to pay because I was paying with cash. Waited far too long. Got my drink & it was the wrong drink. Took it back to the counter & got told they were out of what I wanted so they just replaced it with a different one. I told them I didn’t want that & if they let me order at the counter they could have told me that before they made my drink & I paid. Was prepared to just walk out, but I insisted on a refund to make a point. Never been inside a McDonald’s since.

I do my best to avoid inflammatory foods.

It’s probably time McD went into the trash bin of history. They have strayed a long long way from what originally made them successful.

McDonald's isn't having trouble selling their food because people can't afford a $5 meal. They're having a hard time because their customer base from the 90s grew up and they're all buying groceries now. They'd rather buy a $8 steak instead of a $5 McDonald's meal.

Old guy here. Believe it or not, 50 years ago McDonalds actually tasted pretty good. You could have dinner and get back change from a dollar. A MUCH better time in America 🇺🇸

Who wants to pay $18 for a bad burger, undersized fry, and over priced/watered down drink?

McDonalds lost their customers to competition that provide better quality food.

I’m done with McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, sonic, dominoes and the rest. The last times I tried them to give another chance the worse they became. Crappy food at high prices. They use old foul oil and premade food that becomes soggy and raunchy tasting.

I stopped going to McDonalds when I could no longer talk to a real person to order my food in the restaurant. It has been overpriced for some time as well.

I'm 72. Back in the 60s, my mom would occasionally give me 50 cents for lunch at MDs. I bought a burger, fries, and coke, and brought her back 15 cents change.

Why would I spend $20 on a JunkBurger combo, when I can get the real stuff from restaurant or make one myself for cheaper. Fast food is supposed to be fast, cheap junk not expensive junk! I used to get McDonalds to save money not to pay more for junk LOL They a joke. I rather make my own healthy stuff for that price!

In my area, McDonald's is terrible. Yes, the prices are high, but even worse, the customer is treated like 💩. The kiosks are garbage, and I've seen employees refuse to take orders for elderly and handicapped customers. Also, it often takes more than 20 minutes to get your order, especially if you use the drive-thru. High prices, poor food quality, poor customer service, and long wait times are the problems.

What’s sadder is some people still consider mc Donald’s as real food

I ordered a fish fillet combo and one double cheeseburger. It was over $15 bucks! There's a Chinese spot who basically stuffs two or three meals in a plate for $14 bucks. It's not that consumers don't have the money, they just don't want to pay for overpriced food. McDonald's is definitely in trouble.
