I'm a strong believer in No Contact. I personally have felt that is the only way to get through to the other side and not have all the set backs interrupting the healing process.

When it's over, it's over.
Clean break stops any potential drama.
No contact.

I left town for a couple of days for work, and when I got home, she was moved out, and a note she left said, " By, don't call me" 5 years later and her mom still calls me on my birthday.

Idc what the situation is, minimum 6 months of no contact with ONLY the exception of kids or shared assets like a home etc that need to be resolved.

If you are in the same social group it can be difficult to get a clean break. If you treat each other as grown adults. With respect and courtesy it can still work as friendly acquaintances.

You never speak to or see them ever again.

I got no experience with this. I married the only girl I ever dated in high school. In December, we'll be married 47 years. 😊

Going no contact is what I needed to get over things and see how I was treated, and to fully realize he lied to me for 3 years. He got over it by marrying another girl a month later.

Just walk away and be busy with your work because WORK is the best medicine in such situations.
Good luck ❤

We men go to the gym if we have been neglecting it
We start enjoying the peace we used to have before them
And if I may be honest we start dating and having fun
I’m a 50 year old man happily divorced and loving every minute of it 😂

I am done with my ex. Done. But she is my son's mom . I treat her with respect. I have helped her move. Its not about her. I am showing my son how to respect a woman.

If you’re in a healthy relationship, sure. That isn’t often the case. I think the reason women prefer the clean break is because they’ve been lying to the guy for a while and have already moved on, where the man is left thinking everything has been good this whole time and is left with no answers as to why things went wrong.

You can never please a modern woman so guys don’t waste your time and energy. Live the single life.

personally i am for a clean break, does it happen like that no? usually we end on bad terms and after awhile like a year or so we end up talking again but as friends and that’s the end of it. not best friends but amicable i just want to have closure and don’t want to have bad blood with that ex.

Don't know how. But after I break up I never see them again. Ever since highschool

In my former relationships I broke it off clean. Most left me for another man. Within 2 months they begged me to take them back. Especially the ones that found the grass wasn't greener on the other side. Meaning the more exciting bad boy also beat them when they were drunk. One was an 8 year relationship and that's how long we lived together.

Depends on why you broke up.

And how good you are at setting and maintaining boundaries.

Two men pursued my daughter. One was a narcissist and one was a gentleman.

She is still in proximity of both due to her work-school-living situation.

She had to draw hard boundaries with the narcissist.

The other she drew normal boundaries with.

She is navigating mutual friends, work colleagues and class mates with both.

It can be done. And in a healthy way.
