There has never been a "death" at disney. Everyone remains "gravely injured" or "seriously injured" until theyve been removed from the property. They will not declare expiration on disney property.

As a chef it makes me angry as shit when this sort of thing happens, every chef, every restaurant knows this sort of thing can and will kill someone

Pure evil behavior by Disney. Using their conglomerate business as a loophole to hurt families is awful. The lack of remorse and empathy is truly disgusting. I hope they can come to their senses and help this poor family.

My friend had an allergic reaction at Disney Hollywood Studios like 3 years ago. I ordered gluten-free meals to avoid any cross-contamination and made sure to ask about it. However, despite our efforts, she ended up receiving only Benadryl and something for her stomach, along with many apologies. Unfortunately, she has a gluten allergy and reacted with swelling, a rash, and a bit of shortness of breath. It was really scary, but thankfully nothing else happened, and my friend is okay.

As someone with a severe peanut allergy I will never go to Disney ever again. I saw this story earlier today on the news and I was disgusted. They’ll appeal to every minority but not to those who have actual medical issues. WTF!

I used to work at Disney as a cast member for almost a decade and I remember how seriously we took safety. Safety was our Number One Key. It was drilled into us at Traditions that "Safe-D begins with me!" In fact, we were told that if we had to drop the other keys (Courtesy, Show, Efficiency, and I refuse to add the last key they added, Inclusivity) to be Safe, we had every right to do so. In fact, it was expected of us. I had a few guests try to get me fired because of a safety measure and my managers had my back. I was even a member of the safety board.

After hearing this? I'm really grateful I'm not there anymore. Walt Disney would be so ashamed if he were still alive to see what we've become because one of the first things he came up with was putting safety first and foremost (as theme parks back then weren't exactly known as safe places).

This happened to us at DisneyWorld. Because we don’t trust ANYONE, we did not let my daughter touch the plate that was brought to her because it was expedited by a different server. When our server came back to check, she looked at the table and said, “What is that? You didn’t eat any of that, did you?”. We told her absolutely not. The whole dish was loaded with pistachios. My daughter would have died within minutes. Accidents happen- but if you ask servers for the accommodations they offer- they need to be better prepared.

All I'm hearing is if you are planning to visit anything Disney property, cancel your disney+ membership ahead of time. WTF?!?! only 50K, they can dig that much out of their fountains. Anyone that has ridden on "Its a Small World" knows theres more than that in the water.

I feel like Disney is about to realize that the public has a breaking point and it may not be due to gender ideology, but it may be due to basic food-safety standards and if those are not upheld, people will go elsewhere. My heart goes out to the family on what was supposed to be an enjoyable trip, but it ended up having a tragic outcome. Also, I hope this brings to light the extremely unfair legalese written into contracts now that you are forced to sign to continue to use a service.

Disney has sank to a new level of scum. This is completely disgusting.

I worked at Disney in 2018. None of this surprises me. There were multiple instances of SA happening to cast members and those who reported it were made to believe it was their fault and they just needed to get over it. I hate Disney so much; my kids will not visit any of their stupid parks.

I went and looked at the Terms and services of Disney+ and it's right there in all caps on page 1. If this is upheld there is no justice in America.

$50000. That's it. That's all they were asking for they owe them millions. Millions.

Disney used to create incredible villains for their stories. Now they've become the villain of their own.

Never giving them another dime after this. This is pure evil.

That is absolutely disgusting. He's barely even asking for a year's worth of minimum wage; certainly not a doctor's salary. A video subscription service has nothing to do with food service regulations. A LIFE was lost. You'd think Disney would care about a customer dying from their negligence. Clearly they don't, but they should. That attorney needs to get a lip reader in to watch the security footage to prove the doctor asked for dairy and nut-free food and the waiter affirming them. My heart goes out to that family. What a tragic event, and when the family was on family trip as well. Utterly disgusting.

Man, this story shows how Disney can get really scummy at times.

We should have expected this if you didn’t know Disney said a father couldn’t put spider man on his sons grave saying they didn’t want spider man to be associated with death

Shows just how much Disney actually cares.
They are not a family brand. They are a megacorp.
