Perfect timing as just yesterday I switched back to Safari after about five years using Chrome!

3:09 - I use this shortcut concept, but not in the way you do it. There's one that gets you there with less keypresses.

Command + L

That ends up in the same place. I've been using that one for a few years now. Appears to do exactly what you say with Cmd + Option + F, but with less keypresses.

You can add tab groups - they are pretty handy to switch between different workflows. Also the ‘import from’ feature is extremely easy to keep sync between different browsers.

I’m so stressed out because of my exams right now that I’m starting to have difficulties while trying to sleep in. But after listening to your voice, I was able to sleep in. Thank you 🥺

I am primarily a windows user running W10 in Parallels on my iMac, but I use Safari as my web browser. I like it a lot.

Imo, the biggest drawback of Safari is the severe lack of extensions available for it. There simply aren't any Safari equivalents for many of the privacy extensions I use in Firefox. Until Apple actually creates an environment where devs are actually incentivized to create extensions for Safari, Safari just isn't a browser I can use (which is a bummer since Safari is perfectly optimized for MacOS).

thank you, dude! this is so helpful. for someone who has been convenient with chrome for so long, I need to familiarize myself with safari because I heard that safari is more stable and less battery-draining for mac users compared to google chrome.

This was gold. I’m slowly transitioning from Windows to Mac. I use Brave and Edge on both OSes. Thanks!

You are becoming one of my favorite "tips" you-tubers to help me explore Apple products. I wish I could get into Safari as much as you (and a lot of folks) are. However, I don't understand why Safari does not have "icon" only showing or even showing in the favorites bar. Seeing an Amazon icon, or my bank icon, or you tube icon (etc) is so much easier to see and comprehend then having words all over the place. Do you know if they are ever going to show icons? (or did i miss a tip on how that can happen??)

I switched to Safari on iPhone and Mac about a year ago. I’m loving it - very quick and tab management is a game changer for me.

On the iPad Pro I’m finding Safari to be a more organized way of accessing web activities than constantly referring to apps.

Recently switched back to safari after using chrome for years.
One thing I missed the most was using command + 1-9 to open bookmarks. So command+1 will open the first bookmark in my favorites.
You do need to disable "Use command-1 through command-9 to switch tabs" to use this

I use the new Microsoft Edge on Windows, MacOS, iPhone and Android. It's a fantastic browser. People loved to hate on old internet explorer, but Edge now, is great.
But, I also use Chrome and Safari. I love Safari as well. Really clean. But, Safari fails to block certain ad pop ups that Chrome and Edge Block. So, I Safari is no longer my default. Edge is.

Really enjoying the channel have been using Safari for some time, my frustration is bookmarks and being able to sort the folders alphabeticaly, Apple did take a small step in enabling you to sort the contents of a folder by right clicking, but sorting folders is still drag and drop.
